I’ll do an article on the different options for media centre PCs soon but for those who already have one (and they’re so brilliant, if you haven’t then why not?) here are some options for interacting with your media centre.
First is up is the Shintaro above. It’s reassuringly sturdy in design, the track ball works brilliantly and all controls fall nicely to hand. We currently have stock of these for $70.
For those who don’t like trackballs try this option from Shintaro:
The Shintaro keyboard above is another great media centre keyboard and is also available for $70. It has a mousepad on one side, keyboard in the middle and media related keys (stop, play etc) on the other side.
If all you want is a great remote then have a look at this one below:
It’s a media centre remote with a trackball. This is a great option for your media centre. Often you dont actually want a keyboard when using your media centre PC. You want a media centre button (to launch media centre!) and a mouse for the other software (like launching Windows Media Player, scrolling through and selecting a song). I’ll always have a keyboard handy but a remote like this means you can stash it away and bring it out only when it’s truly needed.
The media centre remote above is $55.
